Deviation Actions
Esta historia nada tiene que ver con BLAKE Y BUCK. Simplemente es algo que se me ocurrió por lo que yo misma he estado haciendo. Hablar con gente que habla un idioma que yo no domino al 100%.
A veces, hago lo correcto y uso el traductor como debería. Otras, me arriesgo a escribir sin ayuda… Sin embargo, escribir no es igual que hablar. La pronunciación te puede jugar en contra, aun cuando sepas cual es la palabra que tú quieres usar. Pronunciar mal puede resultar incómodo… Muy, muy incómodo.
Por supuesto que yo nunca he hablado realmente el inglés. Soy muy tímida para pronunciar palabras… Si cometemos algunos errores en nuestro idioma natural, imagínate cuantos errores cometeremos con un idioma que no es nuestro.
Pues bien. Utilizaré a Bash como víctima de esto. Primero, él es el más inteligente de los tres. Sin embargo, eso no quiere decir que sea perfecto en todo lo que hace. Segundo, a este chico le gusta hablar y escribir correctamente, por lo que equivocarse no debe ser muy lindo para él. Tercero, considerando que Bubbles maneja varios idiomas casi sin dificultad aun a pesar de no ser la más brillante de las tres, he llegado a la conclusión de que para Bash eso debe ser al revés.
Ahora, todo esto empieza cuando hace un pequeño viaje a otro país. ¿Por qué? No sé. No he pensado en eso realmente… La cuestión es que él no conoce el idioma que hablan, así que empieza a estudiarlo. De a poco aprende ciertas nociones del lenguaje… Pero le cuesta un poco aprender.
También está obligado a hablarlo con la gente… No es una experiencia realmente agradable. Al principio suena como una persona algo estúpida… Su fluidez es mala… Comete muchos errores, y acierta poco.
Para evitar eso diseña un plan. Lo primero es pensar lo que quiere decir, segundo, ensayarlo, y, tercero, hablarlo calmadamente.
Así que sí; comienza a hablar. Y todo va bien, hasta que dice una palabra que tiene dos pronunciaciones, las cuales le cambian el significado. Cuando dice esa palabra, el tipo con quién estaba se queda callado. Los que escuchaban se empiezan a reír.
Bash comienza a avergonzarse, sobretodo porque no sabe qué fue lo que dijo. Después de un tiempo, alguien le hace saber su error. Ha dicho una mala palabra… Una muy vulgar… Algo que él jamás se atrevería decir a propósito.
Qué humillación… Hablar un idioma que no conoces puede ser muy vergonzoso. No ayuda a que parezcas una persona seria, inteligente y madura. No puedes expresar tus ideas como quisieras… Es horrible… Especialmente tomando en cuenta que él es un chico muy educado.
Aunque sepas lo que significa una palabra, un error puede ser muy malo. Y lo peor es que tú no lo notas, pero los hablantes habituales del idioma lo hacen fácilmente.
Pero siempre es mejor hablar con confianza, para así poder aprender el idioma. Equivocarse es parte del aprendizaje… Además, no es estúpido equivocarse. Lo estúpido es no aprender de ello.
Este es el mundo del aprendizaje.

This story have nothing to do with BLAKE AND BUCK. It's just something I came up with what I myself have been doing. Talking with people who speak a language I do not master 100%.
Sometimes I do the right thing and use the translator as it should. Other times, I venture to write without help... However, writing is not the same as talking. Pronunciation can play against you, even when you know what the word you want to use. Mispronouncing can be uncomfortable ... Very, very uncomfortable.
Of course I've never really spoken English. I am too shy to pronouncing words... If we make some mistakes in our natural language, imagine how many errors will commit in a language that is not ours. Very well. I will use Bash as a victim of this. First, he is the smartest of the three. Yet, that does not mean it is perfect in everything he does. Second, this guy likes to talk and write properly, so having mistakes should not be too nice for him. Third, whereas Bubbles handles multiple languages almost without difficulty even though she is not the brightest of the three Powerpuff Girls, I have come to the conclusion that for Bash that should be reversed.
Now, all this begins when he makes a short trip to another country. ¿Why? I dunno. I have not really think about that... The point is that he is not familiar with the language they speak, so he starts to study it. Little by little he learns certain notions of the language... But he takes a bit to learn.
He is also obliged to talk with people... Not a really nice experience. Initially he sounds like a slightly stupid person... His fluency is poor ... He makes many mistakes, and he makes few successes.
To prevent that he devises a plan. First is think what he wants to say, second, rehearse, and third, speak calmly.
So yeah; begins to speak. And all goes well, until he says a word that has two pronunciations, which will change the meaning. When he says that word, the guy who he was talking about becomes silent. The listeners begin to laugh.
Bash begins to be ashamed, especially because he does not know what he said. After a while, someone tells him his error. He said a bad word... A very vulgar word... Something that he would never dare to say on purpose.
The humiliation... Speaking a language you do not know very well can be very embarrassing. It does not help you to look like a serious, intelligent and mature person. You cannot express your ideas as you wanted... It's horrible... Specially bearing in mind that he is a very polite boy.
Even if you know what a word means, an error can be very bad. And the worst part is that you do not notice, but the usual speakers of the language do easily.
But it is always better to speak confidently, in order to learn the language. Making mistakes is part of learning... Besides, someone is not stupid for mistakes. The stupid thing is not to learn from it.
This is the world of learning.
